also, one minor thing, instead of using slider on iphone (to adjust the speed pwm of both motor, i am thinking of using 10 press buttons on each side for the speed. sliders are a very good choice if we want very precise data but in our case in only slow down the labview by generating too much different outputs(the slider returns value from 0-232, each different number will result in constantly sending out commands from labview.) anyways, there is still room for progress.)
i will talk to both eric and davis about the wheels and of course the batteries, (5v and 16v.) also i will work on the camera thing and hopefully make it fully functional by wednesday.

i spent about 3-4 hrs to re-modify labview today, the main purpose of it is to get the code to work with motors (intended for both left and right.) the result is i only got one to work, another couple hrs is needed.
i will meet up with Leo tomorrow to setup the picture server, after it’s done, a full scale test will be run, then me and davis will look into wheels, we will also finalize the bottom design.
batteries should be ordered asap (hopefully by tuesday)!
time for ironman2…. (though i an pretty sure it should change its name to “ironmen2” because of a very obvious reason… (there is more than 1 ironman….))

1.stuff from sparkfun.com arrived today.
2. motors from therobotmarket.com got delayed but should be here tomorrow or friday.
bad
1. now we will need to buy wheel from local hobby stores. (not exactly that bad.)
2. we need to order batteries asap.
3. server + photo-taking don’t work that well at this moment.
4. we are about 2 weeks away from symposium.
a better version of IPhone UI
“A” - the instantaneous video feed of the video compressor
“B” - L & R use to control the rmp of the two motors
“C” - some toggle buttons to control the vehicle, 2 for directions on each motor, the center one is used to turn on off of the stabilizing platform.
I like to start with bad news,
1. motors are not here yet even though its scheduled to be delivered this monday(today.)
2. i’ve been spending lots of time playing starcraft 2 last weekends.
and here are the good news
1. h-bridges and arduino are on the ways from sparkfuns.com, should be here no later than wednesday.
2. i’ve figured out how to run a server on my laptop.
3. ni labview8.6 on my computer has been activated.
4. roughly two hour ago, i decided to quit starcraft 2 for a month.
